Lawmaker wants less regulation for home-schoolers - The Department of Education does nothing to help home school families and should not be able to dictate how they educate their children, said a lawmaker Tuesday.

NH bills would expand rights to home school - Advocates split over which bill gave parents the most freedom. Critics of one bill said the state still had primary control over the children's education. They backed a second bill that repealed the state's home education law. Some argued parents have a natural right to educate their children without interference from the state or being required to notify the state they were teaching their children at home.
